Saturday, May 20, 2023 - Rich, full bodied, generous and still elegant. Texturally think more Rhone than Burgundy. 20 mins to open up and come to temp this delivers from start to finish, with lovely bouquet on the nose and rich flavours of custard, honey and just enough acidity to hold it all in balance.

Was a bit worried this was near its end of life, yet it’s showing so well. A wine that would hold up to most dishes, and can fully stand on its own. Just be warned the stated 14.3% ABV is lurking behind the scenes.
