Rich, full bodied, generous and still elegant. Texturally think more Rhone than Burgundy. 20 mins to open up and come to temp this delivers from start to finish, with lovely bouquet on the nose and rich flavours of custard, honey and just enough acidity to hold it all in balance.
Was a bit worried this was near its end of life, yet it’s showing so well. A wine that would hold up to most dishes, and can fully stand on its own. Just be warned the stated 14.3% ABV is lurking behind the scenes.

Pop and pour. In the glass, clear pale gold. On the nose, thyme, lemon peel, and a touch of oak. On the palate, more lemon and a bit of smoke, married to a supple, lush texture that nonetheless delivers bursts of acidity to the palate, all the way through a moderately long finish.

A very weighted wine on the palate. Day 2 notes: Significant yellow fruit and stone ground palate. Yellow peach, roasted cashew, mature pear and honeysuckle lemongrass. A very dense wine from start to finish. Mouth coating, glycerine density. Makes me wonder why I don't have at least a case or 3 of this wine. I am a DuMOL fan and I can see these wines becoming my new normal. Finishes with white pepper spice. Beautiful wine.

The nose was never too expressive, showing slightly buttery notes of beeswax, lemon, apple blossom, and liquid stone. It shined the most on the palate. It needed 1-2 hours to open up, and when it did, it developed serious concentration on the palate, with an oily texture and super dense and rich, with good acidity that gave serious length to the finish carrying a package of the same flavors. We consumed it in about 5 hours but it was at its best 1-2 hours after pulling the cork. My wife loved it even more and gave it a 97.

Medium yellow with green highlights. Oaky, vanillin nose. Rich oaky fruit flavor with good balancing acidity. Long, refreshing finish. Mature, but will hold at least for 3 years.

The bouquet on this wine really blossomed with some time in the glass. There is terrific tropical fruit followed by zingy acidity and a long delicious finish. This wine is hitting its sweet spot and should stay here for at least another 3-5 years.

A beautifully balanced wine with the full spectrum of chardonnay fruit centered on orange citrus along with moderate oak, nice acidity, and some minerality which are all woven together beautifully. Both elegant and powerful. I preferred this to the simultaneously tasted DuMol Hyde which seemed leaner and more linear.

Terrific as always. Bright pineapple, apple, hint of candied ginger, lots of well balanced acidity; medium bodied with long finish. really great CA chard. Always love the Dumol Chloe Ritchie Chards and this is no exception.

Nose of wet stone, golden apple, lime and caramel. Taste is similar to the nose with interesting elements of ripe golden apple, lime rind, stone and oak. Long finish.

A light golden yellow in color. Beautiful nose of honey and Granny Smith apples. The palate follows suit. Gorgeous fruit, Golden Delicious apples, tart lemon, honey, a bit of oak that blends beautifully into the fruit. Brilliant acidity and balance. A spice note on the mid-palate. Finishes long and subtle, lemon zest and spice. A gorgeous wine that will age well. Matched roasted sea bass beautifully.
