Thursday, February 18, 2021 - Ripe, concentrated, high alcohol pinot (14.8%). 2017 was apparently a hot year in Sonoma. It is still quite delicious (strawberries, raspberries, black cherries - the fruit is outstanding), but the high alcohol really shows too much for my taste. It didn't pair so well with my food, I think due to the burning finish. Good acidity despite the heat. Tannins were not noticeable. Next time I'll decant to see if some of the burn blows off.
