90 Points

Saturday, November 9, 2013 - On day one, this was a bit too tight, so I corked it up to try later. On day two, some of the structure had blown off, but so has some of the nice dark fruits underlying the stout structure upon opening. Nose of bright dark fruits. On the palate, a medium-bodied effort with mostly black fruit, fine-grained tannins, solid acidity and a lengthy finish. Very nice, but I doubt it will improve much from here. Overall, a bit disappointing, considering it's cost and pedigree. Not a good QPR wine.
