Classic big cab fruit nose, still tasting cherry and cassis but an overripe plum note and weak tannins suggest that it's over the hill. One more bottle left and I should drink it ASAP. 83 points
Day 2: Had with pasta and tomato/onion/sausage pasta then later with Bellweather's Carmody cheese. Much improved. Deeper, more supple fruit and mid-palate with velvety tannins. Maturing into a really nice wine. Will hold the last bottle for another year and will decant long. 86 points
