Thursday, September 18, 2008 - Popped, poured and consumed within 4 hours. This was a very nice, albeit somewhat simple (not surprising given that this is the second-tier fruit) syrah that speaks of the SLH place. Dark color in the glass and aromatics to match. There is the tell-tale Rosella's funk that immediately let's me know this is an SLH syrah I am drinking. Black fruits, coffee and licorice seemed to be the common denominators as it morphed over the ~4 hours we shared it. Medium bodied, lacking heat, and possessing a 20 second finish. Nothing to contemplate, but your interest is kept - glass after glass. Positively enjoyable.
