93 Points

Sunday, March 13, 2016 - In a single blind tasting of Brunellos from 1989 through 2007, this wine scored just below the top tier, which shows that the 95 point score in the Wine Spectator overrated the wine. Nonetheless, it was an impressive Brunello that only got better when repeatedly retasted against its competition for over a week. Ended darkly colored, enjoyably fruity, well structured by acid and tannin, well on its way to be smoothly integrated, and ageworthy for patiently cellaring for more years.
