Friday, January 23, 2009 - Enjoyed last night with good CT friend neighborbill for dinner with pasta. Really excellent, decanted for 2 hours - already very good and complex but this has so much potential for further development in 3-5 years. Smooth, well balanced, good mouth feel, medium aftertaste. Floral nose with vanilla, blueberry and allspice. Primary flavors noted of cassis, oak, black pepper, tobacco box and aftertaste of smoke. Highly recommend this although too expensive to be a good QPR and as noted above if drunk now needs to be decanted.
