Saturday, July 31, 2021 - 5 year mark for this value Bordeaux. Blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cab Franc and 10% Cab Sauv, which I gave 2h of air. Pale ruby color. Aromas of dried strawberry, pomegranate, campfire, white pepper, bay leaf and a hint of leather. Red fruit on the palate, with a smoky, dusty middle, supported by fine-grained tannins. Shows some character and structure and, while nothing particularly above average, for the price it's a real pleaser.
