Saturday, December 9, 2023 - Rich, juicy oak bomb. Not my favourite style and wouldn’t re-buy at this price. Deep ruby in the glass.

Extravagant nose with notes of peppercorn, violet, menthol, cigar box and blackberry jam.

Palate is full bodied with chewy tannins and hot alcohol.

Flavours are long and rich, almost sweet and extracted. Mint chocolate and cedar leather. Very good length.

I don’t think this improves. Great if you like this style. Similar to Caymus Zinfandel, though perhaps a touch more sophisticated.
