Sunday, May 8, 2022 - From magnum. A pale yellow golden hue. Nose of cool citrus and apple/white orchard fruit. A touch of ripeness, but in a very “Chablis” fashion with crisp saline notes on the nose. Very attractive. Palate was precise and concentrated with acid bright apple and citrus notes on a mineral driven and lifting mid palate that is perfect with fresh oysters or raw seafood. Good length on the finish. This impressed me overall for what I think of as a hot vintage in burgundy in general and I enjoyed this more than many 2018’s from the Côte d’Or. Quite young, however, so would give it some time.
