85 Points

Sunday, April 21, 2024 - Chablis and I rarely cross paths; it’s just not my cup of tea - or glass of wine, if you will - given its typical aromatic profile and stylistic leanings (perhaps I need to venture more into the realms of Raveneau to start to love it). This ripe 2018 vintage of Billaud MdT, certainly didn’t convert me. Beyond the general style and aromatics that I tend to shy away from, the wine lacked definition, feeling flabby from the mid-palate onward. It did start off with a promising fresh and zesty attack, but that wasn't enough to win me over. 85pts.
