Wednesday, August 10, 2022 - Really excellent. This wine always hits the right notes for me but I was expecting it to be a typical still-shutdown 2005. It is among the best 2005s I have had — deeply textured, layers of red fruit flavors mingled with tingling acidity. Tannins are present but starting to soften. Just entering it’s drinking phase and it will last a long time but no sadness in drinking now.
