Likes this wine:

Monday, February 5, 2024 - This was good, not great. The nose was lovely and was reasonably open from the start. Definitely has developed some secondary notes with leaf litter and some sanguine/iron notes alongside the fruit; the fruit was more in the dried red berry zone; surprisingly not super dark; smells very Corton; the palate was slightly tannic still with the grip of the tannins feeling somewhat dominant; with air and food this certainly improved and I suspect had I decanted it for an hour or 90 min before hand it would have been better. The depth was good, but it felt as if the tannins were not allowing the full view. The question is will they resolve before the fruit and everything else fades away. I'm not sure. An enjoyable wine for sure; the nose alone was great and if you enjoy more tannic heft this would be right up your alley.
