91 Points

Monday, June 11, 2018 - Opened (not decanted) about 60 to 90 minutes before tasting. No visible signs of age. Nice, assertive nose - mostly currants. Mostly black cherries on the palate, with minimal complexity (tobacco, graphite, etc.). Very rich, with big fruit and a flat-out terrific finish. Very well balanced, but the subdued tannins suggest it's at (or slightly beyond) its peak. Cost about half what I paid for a 2007 PlumpJack that I had recently, and it was at least twice as good (unless you really like vanilla lattes).
