Tuesday, April 3, 2007 - After the red blend I was a little afraid what I'd find in this bottle but surprise surprise; this rivals "C" du Castel as Israel's best white wine and certainly exceeds it in terms of fruit purity as it's just classic Sauvignon Blanc: crisp grapefruit, gooseberry, and lemon-lime flavors with a long, fresh finish that reveals flint and schist-like minerality. I really hated to sacrifice ten drops of this for the plagues. At $22, an excellent value even setting aside its kosher status.
