Sunday, January 2, 2022 - Purchased because I was promised some botrytis influence and dried honey notes in any form always make me very happy. Monte Grande could easily go unnoticed but if you stop for a minute, you'll find a basket of textures and aromas.

More amber imagery than the color suggests. Just a glint of copper or rose gold. Notes of honey and hazelnut and fudgey dates, with baked apple and pear and sour pineapple and starfruit. Supremely acidic and balanced cream makes this comfortable.

Serve this to me blind and I'd call it Chenin.
