Saturday, June 18, 2016 - One of about 30 wines at a party, if this wasn't WOTN, it certainly was a strong contender. Dark color. Berries and a hint of plums on the nose. Berries and some black cherries on the palate, along with hints of vanilla and forest floor. Still a little tannic, but extremely well balanced. Fairly rich, with a good finish. As expected (for a Chappellet Cabernet), it's still improving.
