On the palate so round and smooth, full of fine red berries, tar, roses, herbs, crushed rocks. Complex, precise, elegant, airy with lots of intensity and very harmonious. A quintessential Barbaresco with all the telltale aromas and the fine structure and necessary textural depth.

Decanting: At first, I thought this might be over the hill but all that musty and soy aromas blew off with a bit of air. The wine got actually fresher, so some decanting is advised.
