Mouth - surripe dark berry fruit which is very tannic and rather astringent. Quite dry, considerably tannic, and not balanced by acidity. While it’s not bad, im not getting much pleasure out of it, and my walk away impression is that I just took a swig of black coffee. Unclear to me if this is closed down, heavy handed, or just an atypical showing. Hold? Tonight I’m not feeling the love. Reminds me a bit of a hot vintage CdP.
