Wednesday, January 18, 2023 - Burgundy Night (A collector's home): Wine D. Stems, red cherry, sandalwood on the deeply fruited flavors. The palate shows ripe and rich, flamboyant and deeply fruited with a chewy, saline infused texture. The long finish is slightly tannic and bitter, with some orange rind elements. I ranked this wine 3rd, and the group had it last. Some thought it showed VA on the nose, but I did not get that.

1/26/2023 4:18:00 AM - Thanks for your review. I have two bottles, and very little experience with high end Burgundy, and Clos de la Roche specifically. Did you decant this wine? Did it seem to open during the evening? Were you able to have more than one glass? I'm curious as to what you assess the drinking window to be? Thanks for your thoughts.

    Drink lots of wine.
