Dark cherry colour. Yeasty nose. Rich dark fruit. Powerful, enveloping, unusual notes of cheese and lactic elements. Stony, mineral, round and sweet. Molasses and violets and brambly forest fruit. Super.

Off restaurant list. Decanted and drank over 3 hours. Gorgeous raspberry with a hint of blackcurrant on the nose. Oak was much obvious upon opening but faded into the background after a while. Hints of tea and fresh black pepper in the finish. Was drinking surprisingly well now. It's got great intensity, v long finish. Tannins of course present here but does not detract from the experience. Long long life ahead for this wine.

Burgundy Night (A collector's home): Wine D. Stems, red cherry, sandalwood on the deeply fruited flavors. The palate shows ripe and rich, flamboyant and deeply fruited with a chewy, saline infused texture. The long finish is slightly tannic and bitter, with some orange rind elements. I ranked this wine 3rd, and the group had it last. Some thought it showed VA on the nose, but I did not get that.
2 hour decant Very closed off at first. Showing extremely well at 3 hour mark Herbal and black tea aromas, black cherry, gingerbread, pantry spices, stone/very mineral, some feral/iron notes A very polished wine with medium tannins and medium+ acidity Excellent to outstanding length This will last decades Elegant, fresh, and balanced despite warmer vintage

Still youthful. Nose is little close. Will improve with ageing. Notes of cranberry, strawberry, red fruits, flora.
