Saturday, January 31, 2015 - Deep crimson. Herbal and gamey nose. Little trace of fruit. First notes are astringent and tannic. Surprisingly harsh and angular. Not well integrated, especially for a 28 year old wine. Unbalanced, a bit tart and simple. Would have hoped for more and definitely not the wine that they wanted to make for the 50th vintage of GDL.
