Saturday, December 5, 2020 - Impromptu dinner and tasting with our close friends (Our Farm in NJ): Decanted a couple hours before drinking. Then chilled and and removed from the chill to warm to cellar temp+. Really nice wine. Bright with acidity and a light to medium lemon yellow color. Crisp with notes of pineapple, lemon and lightly charred white peach. Very well balanced and complete with an old world sensibility. Judicious use of oak that was only slightly “visible” on the palate. Terrific mouth feel. Great alone and with my friend’s shrimp and crab en croute dish. Probably reasonable to expect this to improve with a few more years in the cellar.
