Great nose of stones and flint, like a lighter being struck or gunpowder. Also strawberry and leather… and gardeners lime. Still has nice fruit, mainly strawberry and sour cherry. Perfect acidity, great with food…. interesting notes of rhubard, sage, mushrooms, some smoke like a lit match….pecan or walnut coming through as well. Great balance, just so nicely integrated. Really a pleaser… hats off to Xavier Vignon for wherever he dug this up and how he was able to preserve it so nicely. Enjoyed at the Grand Resort @ Avalon Lakes Country Club.
