Monday, March 11, 2024 - Two hour decant and drank over two nights. Excellent nose. Casis, with a bit of red fruits and plenty of cigar box. It’s more restrained on the palate than I was expecting. Plenty of fruit, though it’s held in check with chocolate, leather, and a touch of stone. The acidity is perfectly judged and the tannins are beautifully balanced. I’d give this wine a few more years to develop the depth I’d expect from a bottle at this price range, but I imagine it will be well worth the wait.
