Monday, December 16, 2013 - Tasted at the LCBO tasting bar. Really nice wine that is Bordeaux in style, albeit with slightly more plump fruit. Nose of blackberries, black raspberries, dark ripe black cherries, truffle, mushroom, cedar, leather, hints of vanilla and mint. In the mouth this still has a fair bit of structure with dusty sweet tannin. Finish is moderate to long but I could see the palate being more pleasurable as this integrates further. Excellent today, better in 5+ years.
