Four days later, after two further tries, it finally opened properly, revealing a more appealing mixture of dark cherry and blackcurrant, quite silky and stylish, but still a little pinched and tannic. It certainly needs several more years in bottle and for the difference in price, I would rather have a Léoville-Barton any day.
