Community Tasting Note

Sunday, June 28, 2015 - The initial impression is really quite promising, deep purple / ruby core, with a rich bouquet loaded with black currants, violent, spring flowers, incense, flint, raspberry, oaky vanilla and white pepper spice. The nose gained more earthy tone over time. On the palate, very rich, forward, with lots of cigar smoke, sweet berries, plum meat and spice. The tannic backbone is solid, but not inturding. The balance of the wine seems slightly off between the acidity and fruits, the spice tone also causing the inharmony to the experience, and dominate over other notes as time progresses. Additional cellaring time will hopefully bring all the elements more integrated for future tasting.
