Thursday, December 10, 2020 - Nuits and Vosne 2019 with Stannary (Zoom!): About 10-15% of the crop was lost in a single frosty April night and production was about 20% down overall - but this vineyard has their biggest plot of all of the domaine's holdings. Around 40yo vines. Around 30% whole bunch used.

A bit reduced at first; slightly cheesy nose. Really impactful and spicy, but feels as though this sample may be a little spoiled - there's something prickly and strange on the finish. However, after about 45 minutes of air the sweet fruit starts to break out, as does a smokiness. Actually quite sophisticated!
