Spicy cherry, leaning to dark fruited but not soft and some minerality supporting the midpalate- super round tannins that are well integrated. Palate will go 'spherical' on this with bottle age likely. Complexity is medium for now but not betraying middling VR 1er Cru status. On this showing 2015 has the goods and balance. No noticeable alcohol or overripeness here. I would wage on this becoming quite interesting with extended aging.

Reduction is the keyword here. Yes it's young but remember to try a bottle young. Glad I bought more than one and will try one in 2037-2039 (Hope I live that long)

Nuits and Vosne 2019 with Stannary (Zoom!): About 10-15% of the crop was lost in a single frosty April night and production was about 20% down overall - but this vineyard has their biggest plot of all of the domaine's holdings. Around 40yo vines. Around 30% whole bunch used.
A bit reduced at first; slightly cheesy nose. Really impactful and spicy, but feels as though this sample may be a little spoiled - there's something prickly and strange on the finish. However, after about 45 minutes of air the sweet fruit starts to break out, as does a smokiness. Actually quite sophisticated!

2019 EP Tasting of Vosne and Nuits-St-Georges with Stannary Wines (Zoom): Tasting sample prepared from barrel. Organic since 2014, average 40 year old vines in 2 parcels totalling about 5ha, 30% whole bunch. Nice aromatics, a touch of spice, silky texture and lovely mouthfeel, just a few fine tannins showing at the moment, long and complex

Clear, lightish purplish. Smells of fresh red fruit. Like a bowl of fresh cherries - very pure flavor here.
