My wife noted a clay note too. Tannins must be there, but at present, they are simply dominated by the primal gushes of fruit. This wine is so young, it really didn’t display a multitude of traits or personality per se, at least not yet, but I wanted to experience an early tasting of an Mon Aieul which I would strongly recommend to anyone who is setting on a few bottles of this gem.
