92 Points

Tuesday, April 27, 2021 - Half bottle purchased in 1992. Pristine condition, level < 1cm below the cork, 14% ABV. Vibrant, pale golden colour with a hint of orange; the nose needs some time to open up and performs best at a slightly higher temperature, wonderfully clean botrytis, apricots and orange marmalade, floral and fresh, spiced honey, saffron and a hint of vanilla; the palate is elegant and quite youthful for age, fresh and juicy, with a light to medium sweetness balanced by the bitters from the oak; the finish displays a touch of coconut, it feels relatively dry and length is very good. Lovely complexity and freshness, but in this small format completely ready. Drink soon.
