Sunday, January 16, 2011 - When first opened, the aroma of this wine was like incense and funky beyon belief. I came close to puring down the drain, but instead gave it a half hour to breathe (I did not have access to a carafe to decant). After the half hour, the volotile aromas had dissipated and the wine was quite delightful -- tar and cigar box aromas were teh domminant themes rather than incense and volatile chemical smells.
