Sunday, February 17, 2019 - Nose is tomato — the fruit, the stems, the leaves — somewhat herbal, meaty as well. Palate is nice; very earthy, barnyard, pepper — both black and green — with black licorice (anise). The tannins still have some grip, which surprises me after 15 years, but soft all in all. Complex, mature, enjoyable, and very fun. Had this bottle sitting around for three years after receiving it as a Christmas gift, and enjoying the gift yet again.
