Saturday, March 16, 2013 - Decanted 3 hours and rebottled. Huge nose of ripe blueberry fruit. Very smooth mouthfeel with lots of black cherry and blueberry fruit on the palate. The fruit is quite concentrated but is not to the point of being jammy or over the top. Notes of white pepper, tobacco and spice. Long finish with moderate tannins. Came over as being quite primary to me and i felt like it needs a few more years to really come together although it is excellent now with a few hours of air time. This is a big wine and is built for the long haul. (92+ pts).
