Tuesday, September 24, 2013 - This wine from Ben Glaetzer is really always amazing. Nicely balanced for a barossa Shiraz with some really attractive fruit hanging on a supple structure.

(We had the weaker '05 a year ago and we found it to be still in junior high and postponed the next btl to 2020.)

9/27/2013 6:11:00 PM - Stefan, I tend to drink my wines a bit young so I think this wine has just entered a really nice drinking window. Typically I like to drink Barossa Shriaz from about 5 to 10 years. Definitely requires some rich food though....

For the fruity hit, there are just sooo many choices available. But for that geriatric, matured, cheezy, gym-locker, scarred and tantalizing aromas . . . age is key, and there's no shortcut.
However, have noticed that our taste-buds have friends only few and far between. . .
Most importantly, I eat tomatoes and you eat "tomeitoes", but we're both very happy with what we devour :-)
