Monday, June 11, 2012 - Drank at Island Creek Oyster Bay for $68. Golden color. First sip is spritzy and awkward but settles down after decanting and some time. Baked apple and honey, rich and luscious on the palate. Almost viscous in the mouth, I feel like it could use some more acid to balance out the richness. I admit to being underwhelmed given the reputation of this wine, but an interesting drink and pretty tasty.
