Sunday, June 6, 2021 - "Brunch is the gamay of meals" (Chicago, IL): This might be among the best bottles of Joly I've ever tasted. I guess sometimes nature conspires against his attempts to ruin the great terroir he owns. Nonetheless a very weird wine with a nose that can't be pinned down. Sometimes there are some really off-putting doughy aromas, then some times there are some yellow fruits. The palate is still very broad and alcoholic. Not my style of wine at all -- barely any acidity (and at times fruit), and just a lot of weird animally notes.

7/20/2021 1:10:00 PM - I have the same experience. But after 4 days in the cellar the wine was more like I want Loly. I drink those over 7 days, mostly best on the last day.
But you are absolutly wright, this year is unbalanced, it is missing acidity!
