Friday, October 28, 2022 - Forest undergrowth, earth, and spice initially on the nose; the fruit is somewhere on the back burner, stewing away. Quite musty. On the palate, there’s a bit of leather and earth but with a still vibrant core of cherries and strawberries. A touch of smoke and oak rounds out the finish, which goes on for a remarkably long time. Still a bit too young, but already drinking quite nicely after a couple hours. I’d give this another 2-3 years and check back. Really solid bottle for the price point.
