Thursday, January 26, 2023 - In a good, mature spot. Aromas and flavors of dried and dusty black fruit, smoky bacon grease, black olive, dried herbs, oak, and dry red earth. Nose and mouth are well integrated, full bodied, + tannin, med acid, moderate alcohol burn, not juicy or so opulent in the mouth, more dusty, ferrous, tannin-brawny. I think this is in a sweet spot right now, though there maybe some upside to holding this longer, if you want less fruit and more tertiary components to show. Great with lamb.
