Monday, December 26, 2022 - Still as brilliant as one year ago (see TN from 01/22). However, at this point of its evolution the wine needs a healthy decant of 2 hours. Then it rejuvenates, blows off its petrol and really gains in stature. On the deep nose mirabelle, ginger, scents of red fruits and herbal notes. In the mouth this is quite a bruiser with a rocksolid structure and highish acidity, a good balance of extract and a long, dry and salty finish, which is mouth-cleansing like fine champagne. It's quite a testament that the wine not only stands up to the large Zalto Burgundy stems but also shows better than in the Zalto Universal.
