Tuesday, September 26, 2023 - Going to need some time to absorb the oak. It imparts a bit of coffee grinds/mocha to the flavor. Other than that, this is a wine with plenty of ripe material. Darker side of the spectrum, blackish color, very leesy at the moment too with some rising bread dough notes. Has structure in the middle of the palate rather than the finish. Acidity is in the background for now. I really like the vintage and for $45 this is a nice add to the cellar.
