Wednesday, March 13, 2013 - I first tasted a younger version of this in Barcelona and wound up chasing this one ll over Spain. I finally decided to drive to the Bodega in Toro to taste and purchase. While I was only mildly successful visiting he Bodega, I was very enthusiastic to enjoy the other wines of Toro. I actually found this 2000 at one of my favorite shops in Portland E&R. The wine is perfectly ages, a nice brown bricking around the edges, firm tannins and a lovely round balance of fruit. Oak is present, but mild. Alcohol is not a factor. Beautiful.
