Sunday, March 3, 2024 - Terrific Cornas. Decanted an hour prior to dinner and needed it. Glossy bright red color with no sign of age. This loved a dry aged steak as the tannins were still apparent although not disturbing the enjoyment. With time a deep blackberry was evident. This sung of violets! What amazing aromas. I could just smell this for an hour. Good acidity. Earth, iron, light menthol , herbs. This is still a firm wine with lots of time ahead but still very enjoyable now. Love it.
