Saturday, July 27, 2013 - Dark core; served at cellar temp which was a little cool- I think it helped the wine; dark core; cool nose of ripe dark fruit, tobacco leaf, fig, blackberry, and round profile; deliciously soft and round profile up front but Grenache tannin clamped down and bitter aspirin finish said we were in CdP; have had this several times in the past year and this was distinctly fat and ripe yet good acid to support its frame; sweet fruit yet dry; very high quality and obvious nobility; called 2007 Ferrand because the past few bottles of this have been so hard and not ready unlike this bottle.
