The wine was initially a bit flat and a touch tannic in the mouth. With about 2 hours, it opened up a bit more. It's difficult to say whether, with time, the fruit will show through more on the palette. However, the amazing bouquet and nice tannin / acid balance make this a great food wine and will keep me coming back for more (I just bought 5 more bottles after sampling this one).
