Saturday, December 26, 2009 - Because of the circumstances, this was opened and drunk shortly after a very good German spatlese, so didn't show as well as it usually would. But we drank more the next day (Dec. 25) and it was tasting good but not quite as good as I remember from the past. There was some lack of fruit adn the underlying acidic structure wasn't quite as strong as in the past. Nonetheless, a very drinkable wine that I will look forward to drinking in the future, maybe with a little more age.
