Tuesday, April 20, 2021 - 2017 Remoissenet Père et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Guettes was floral, fresh and delicate. The youthful Pinot Noir was pale ruby in colour without any sediments. There were impressive aromas of fresh red cherry, cranberry and roses, accompanied by liqourice and a hint of earth.

The mouthfeel was dry and relatively light-bodied, with medium-high level of acidity and medium level of supple tannin. Flavours of tart berries, red cherry and wet stone minerals in a rather long elegant finish. The alcohol level was at 13.5%. The oak was better integrated compared to the previous bottle consumed in August 2020.
