  2017 Remoissenet Père et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Guettes was floral, fresh and delicate. The youthful Pinot Noir was pale ruby in colour without any sediments. There were impressive aromas of fresh red cherry, cranberry and roses, accompanied by liqourice and a hint of earth.
  
  The mouthfeel was dry and relatively light-bodied, with medium-high level of acidity and medium level of supple tannin. Flavours of tart berries, red cherry and wet stone minerals in a rather long elegant finish. The alcohol level was at 13.5%. The oak was better integrated compared to the previous bottle consumed in August 2020.

  2017 Remoissenet Père et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Guettes was aromatic, balanced and evolving. The youthful Pinot Noir was clear and pale ruby in colour without any sediments. Freshly uncorked, aromatics of fresh red cherries, raspberries and roses jumped out of the glass, supported by vanilla and liqourice oak spices. With three hours in bottle, it gained impressive complexities of forest floor, spices and wet stone. On the palate, it was dry and medium-full-bodied, well-complemented with medium level of silky tannin and rather high level of fresh acidity. Flavours of strawberries and caramel transitioned to earth and saline minerality in a long satisfying aftertaste. I like the way it acquired earthy and savoury tones over the evening, as the oak spices settled down in air. The red fruit flavours were ripe yet fresh. It should age well in the next five to seven years.
